Parenting and Caregiving ERG
Mission
The Parenting and Caregiving ERG aims to cultivate community and a safe space to discuss lived experiences and to support each other as they navigate successes and challenges while maintaining a career in academia.
Purpose
Parents and caregivers are a particular group that have unique needs that can impact their roles in the workplace and require work/life flexibility. Parents and caregivers also hold other identities (e.g., gender, race, disability), making this group a support system for diverse members of our community.
Goals
Provide resources, community, and support for parents and caregivers who work at SDSU Foster a safe space to discuss work and home issues related to parenting and caregiving Share advice and resources on how to navigate academic and/or medical institutions as a parent/caregiver.
